September 09: Five of us are here for what’s known as “RKO”—Reunion Kick-off Weekend. The U. asks several from each reun-ing class (is that a word?) to come up to meet the various caterers, check the housing options, and get organized for the the upcoming months. This is like making a baby: It’s nine months from TODAY that we’ll start to gather for our 5oth. Anyway, I’m downtown at the Holiday Inn; and can look out my window and see some very large crane on campus right near Libe Tower. Meetings start tomorrow, Friday , 9/11 I’ll update this blog when I know more.
February 08: What’s doing at the moment is that the Class Council met on Feb. 9th, in Philadelphia, at the annual CACO meeting.
The meeting happens every year; and all the classes devote a good deal of time to their reunion planning; based on where they are in the cycle. We’re two years away from our 50th; and so; yes, we are starting the planning process now.
We’re not quite ready to reveal what we’re thinking; but we are intending to put on one of the best 50th reunions ever.
